Gillian Widdowson Celebrates 90th Birthday at the Theatre Royal
Gillian Widdowson, an old friend of the Theatre Royal who has made a massive contribution to our heritage work with her stories and memories from 1940s and 50s, celebrated her 90th birthday in style on Monday with tea and cake on the Dress Circle foyer.
We also gave her a sneak peek at our new mural, still under construction in the Theatre Royal foyer, which uses some of Gillian’s own archive material. You can see some of Gillian’s old photos and memories from her time as a dancer performing here at the venue, click here
Gillian had a lovely time, as you can see from these pics, seeing the mural-in-progress and reminiscing about good times spent at the venue with best friend Cherry back in the day.
